Blog 13: Lesson 2 Reflection

1. I'm most proud of my PowerPoint from the Lesson 2 Presentation. It wasn't anything really amazing, but compared to other PowerPoints I've made it looked nice and had good information.

2. a) I would probably give myself an AP, maybe AP+
    b) I felt that the presentation overall went fairly well, but I don't think I made time and might have missed one or another of the P requirements.

3. Compared to Lesson 1 being able to use a PowerPoint really helped me collect my ideas on what I was going to talk about.

4. If I could change one thing it would be that I rehearse the presentation beforehand so that I could see what I could change or add to make it better.

5. I think my answer two might be, "Have a good business plan."

Blog 12: Mentorship 10 Hours Check

1. I am doing my mentorship at TD Knitting my dad's textile business.

2. My contact is my dad Humberto Tavira, he owns and manages the business.

3. I have only done the ten required so far. I've gone to mentorship a couple of times but I never worked for too long.

4. While I'm there I generally will help out by doing work on the computer or walking around with my mentor to see what he does and if possible help out. That could vary from helping him check inventory to just telling one of the employees something he wants done.

Blog 11: Holiday Project Update

1. Over the break I primarily worked on my individual component and have finished a lot. It's been a lot of reading, but I've learned a lot from it.

2. All the different things I've been reading about such as how inflation rates have changed and more have been interesting to learn about. These are all important for the fact that I'm learning more of the technical terms regarding business. The source of what I've learned is my Introduction to Business online class.

3. If I were to do an interview with someone regarding answers to my EQ I would find a small business owner or manager to see what they have learned from their experience.

Extra Blog: December

Forgot about writing a post before the end of the month, but better late than never. Over the break I focused more on my individual component. I've had to read a lot, but the different things I've been learning have been useful. During the reading I found a link that shows how money's worth has changed due to inflation throughout the years. ( http://data.bls.gov/cgi-bin/cpicalc.pl ) I found it kind of interest how something that costs say $10,000 today cost $7,300 just 14 years ago, that's a 27% increase in price. Well that's it for this blog post hope everyone had a good break.
